in search of guru

Why people are interested in GURU?Can we afford to ignore guru to trek and  tread the life journey.Question remains unsolved. One can't impose one's views  on others. In religious sense Guru  helps to solve ones  inner conflict  and contradiction in dealing with the real life problems.Guru comprises GU means Andhkar(darkness) and RU means  dur karna ( remove/dispel). He gives you courage to face the challenges  of life with his experiences and understanding of life. But one  doesn't go to Guru for material gains instead of  SPIRITUAL needs? In the present world Guru has also adopted to new approach to Guru-Sishya(disciple) tradition. He has taken over as CEO of people who  are after worldly pleasures. Does it means there is no real Guru to find in the crowds of Gurus . No, still there are well meaning Gurus but it is entirely upon ones wisdom and wits to find Him out , Mute point is-one really needs a Guru when every one knows that He is not teaching you any new things which you don't already know?
I think word Guru  has lost its sanctity and respect which it has earlier. However, as long as insecurity and fear exists people will go after seeking solace, hope and soothing words  and will continue to go in search of/approach Gurus without realising the real Gurus are scientists who are spending day/night to make life comfortable  for ordinary people, labourers who are making bridges/dams houses and farmers toiling the fields to satiate hunger of crores of crores people including their.
